The Sound Of Music BIO:

The Sound of Music is a classic American musical that has captivated audiences since its inception. With music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, the musical is based on the memoir of Maria von Trapp. It tells the inspiring true story of a governess who brings music and love into the lives of a widowed Austrian naval officer's seven children, all set against the backdrop of the rise of Nazism. The original Broadway production debuted in 1959, featuring Mary Martin, while the beloved 1965 film starring Julie Andrews became one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
